Examples

These working examples and demonstrations are drawn from the 139 sub-projects.  Each was developed in coordination with one or more teachers for use with their students, usually in blended mode settings.  Note that the examples are categorized according to the type of interaction:  "with content" represents computer mediated interactions, "with instructor" represents interaction between one or more students and the instructor, and "with peers" focuses more heavily on learner-to-learner interaction (though the instructor was almost always also present in some way).

To access the examples:

  • Note that each category is a separate page which can be accessed by clicking on the diagram or the tabs to the left.
  • Reading the description to the right will provide background information to better prepare you for trying out the example.  In some cases free plug-ins or special starting instructions are required, they will be indicated here.
  • To start each example, click on the blue words below the picture which will lead you to the “Working example”, “Demonstration”, or “Official site”.  (Clicking directly on the picture will only open a screen shot image.)  Note that examples labeled “demonstration” will take you through a series of screen shots with explanations (as most are showing activities conducted within private forums).
  • Have fun exploring!  The intention of this site is to give you a place to explore (normally password protected) options to help you generate your own ideas of how to most appropriately use technology to support your own students' learning.
